Dr. Taleb Rifai, former UNWTO General Secretary, recruiting World Ocean Council Members

OACM World Ocean Council President Dr Taleb Rifai - with OACM President Kristijan Curavic - is in the process of recruiting some of the world's most significant individuals from the world organizations, corporations and governments to join OACM's launching of the Ocean Heritage ACT scheduled for 2021. The Ocean Heritage ACT is the world's largest petition signing by heads of states to accelerate the ocean preservation and protection initiative by taking concrete measures and incorporating sustainable solutions. The World Ocean Council within the OACM will be responsible to accelerate, promote and expand the plastic-free marine areas around the world in order to minimise the current plastic content in the ocean. The council will meet officially once a year and make important decisions for OACM expansion, as well as initiate new programs among the OACM nation members to preserve and protect the ocean.
