OACM Education Centre
OACM Education Centre is the world’s first education centre oriented towards educating a new type of young and modern environmentalist who will develop new opportunities and methods of ocean preservation by using the education centre strategies. These consist of combining two pillars (economy and environment) into new global financial and environmental directives.
The Education Centre has two main operational bases: one, a physical centre located on the Croatian coastline, and two, a mobile education centre unit with a team that will educate clients in countries of operation (OACM members).
The OACM Education Centre’s environmental program consists of marine biology, oceanography, marine pollution, economy, marketing, PR, diplomacy and foreign affairs, and it is a small segment of what makes this education centre unique in combining the different subjects - which is necessary to educate new environmentalists and ocean conservation activists.
The Education centre is officially responsible for creating, educating and developing OACM affiliate departments within the OACM member nations (governmental infrastructure) that will function as OACM affiliate offices and governments’ own departments responsible for monitoring and maintenance of White Flag International CSMA areas.
As early as 2017, the Education Centre has initiated the special program called LAP (Learn, Act, Preserve), for young generations (children from grade 1 to 5), which is created to be integrated in OACM members’ school and education institutions to help and educate their future environmentalists and to prevent future pollution. This is one of the OACM Education Centre’s high priority programs in the mission of integrating the care for the environment into people’s daily lives - and changing basic human behaviours and habits to stop them from polluting the oceans and the planet. OACM believes that human habits can be changed if the problem is being addressed in the early stages of human development.
