Endangered Species Protection Agency
OACM ESPA is a new, recently initiated Agency formed by OACM President Kristijan Curavic and Board Member/World Ocean Council President - former UN WTO General Secretary - Dr Taleb Rifai. EFSA’s responsibility is to recognise the immediate threat of extinction of endangered species and wildlife within the OACM member nations. The goal is to protect those species with the help of the financial income from White Flag International CSMA coastal certifications. Before the contract signing, ESPA researches the OACM member nation’s policies for animal and wildlife protection to see if there exists a need for additional requirements between the OACM and the nation in order to integrate additional conservancy programs for protection of endangered species and wildlife. OACM’s policy focuses on protecting and preserving life above and beneath the water surface to protect biodiversity..
ESPA is controlled and supervised by the Research and Development department, Ethics and Transparency committee, and Financial and Sustainability department, which authorises the financial support for the ESPA projects. ESPA can only finance and support projects for endangered species among the OACM members and partners, and only with sufficient financial constructions already in place between the OACM and the nation in question.
