On October 23, 2025, OACM President H.E. Kristijan Curavic officially met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Anar Imanov, in Zagreb to discuss official cooperation on the upcoming Energy & SAFE Ocean Conference, which will be hosted in Zagreb in April 2026.

Energy & SAFE Ocean is a unique and first-of-its-kind conference that has managed to merge the oil and energy sector (fossil fuels) to become coherent with SAFE Ocean Preservation and support national economies through empowering local communities. This marks a historic step towards the world's largest merger between economy and environment that will sustain communities worldwide.

H.E. Mr. Anar Imanov has expressed his support and participation in the conference in April. The OACM is in the operational process of establishing the first Certified SAFE Marine Area in the Caspian Sea. This initiative was started by the OACM directly with the office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev.
