OACM initiates organisation of the 3rd World Aqua Day in Switzerland
OACM, after the successful creation of the world's first financially sustainable ocean, lake, and river conservation program for governments and the corporate sector, focuses on one of its most successful programs, the World Aqua Day Initiative. World Aqua Day was organized by the OACM conglomerate, the former NGO GUWAA (Global Under Water Awareness Association), in 2013 and 2014 under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and opened by the prince himself in an official opening ceremony. The 1st World Aqua Day (formerly GUWAA 2sc World Under Water and Cleanup Day) had 20 nations that contributed to the program. The 2SC world cleanup had 60 nations participating, in which 250 tonnes of marine debris were extracted in just a few hours.
The 3rd World Aqua Day in Switzerland will transcend all of them and make history in uniting the entire planet, 190+ nations. Such an endeavor has never been accomplished earlier and will be a great challenge for OACM administration. Technically uniting 190+ nations with different time zones in the same day and synchronizing nations to perform an ocean, lake, and river cleanup will be a historic achievement in which not only environmental preservation will be in focus, but also the message of peace, solidarity, and tolerance in a time of conflicts and disputes. More than 200 people will work in World Aqua Day Administration, trying to organize more than 50,000,000 people and millions of divers across the planet.
In a time of conflicts and geopolitical changes, environmental preservation cannot wait any longer. OACM serves mankind, the planet, and the prosperity of us all. Not one man, one nation can fight ocean pollution on its own; only through unification and solidarity can we make a real change. We can no longer wait, sit still, and see how the current cosmetic changes are leaving our most precious natural resource in such a devastating and vulnerable state. This is our last chance to make an impact, united as one.
