Plastic Ocean Summit / Covid-19
Due to the Covid 19 crisis, the Plastic Ocean Summit has been rescheduled due to the global travel restrictions and delays in administration.
Plastic Ocean Summit scheduled for 8 - 9th April 2021 on Island of Mali Losinj, Croatia, due to the global travel restrictions and delays of necessary SOS CP governmental integration and coastal certification, will be rescheduled for the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022. The official decision will be reached by the OACM Directorate - General official meeting on November 4th 2020 by board members and current OACM members.
OACM Directorate - General officials believe that the importance of the Plastic Ocean Summit will contribute in creating a strong global alliance that can accelerate the elimination of the current negative ocean pollution problem in the next decade by initiating a SOS CP ocean plastic extraction program and setting new global directives in ocean conservation strategy and global policy. Plastic Ocean Summit is organised with a mission to expand the OACM nation membership and to promote and integrate sustainable and concrete solutions for the ocean pollution and other environmental issues we are facing today.
