OACM's opening of the world's first education centre in promoting sustainable natural resource management and coastal marine pollution among other programs will be officially launched in 2021 before the Plastic Ocean Summit. OACM has delayed the opening of the education centre due to the current Covid-19 crises and delays in financial support.OACM General - Directorate officials are expecting to continue the further work and development of the education centre by the beginning of next year while the mobile education unit will continue to work and educate governmental institutions officials by November of 2020.
