OACM and FMOIT (Bosnia and Hercegovina) Strengthen Global Water Protection Efforts
The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FMOIT) and OACM Group are collaborating to enhance global environmental standards, with a special focus on water protection. This partnership aims to promote sustainable water management through legislative actions and international initiatives.
Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism, Nasiha Pozder expressed her dedication to environmental protection, stating: “The protection of the environment is our mission, and we act legislatively, practically with projects, and in every way to ensure compatible sustainable development and a healthy environment.” She also highlighted the importance of the collaboration: "I am pleased to have exchanged information with Mr. Alić, who operates within a global organisation and who, with his experience, knowledge, and contacts, can assist us in water protection and in reducing, primarily, the plastic impact on natural resources. We discussed how we can work together and in an organised manner to protect natural resources and how to be a part of global processes in this field."
Mr. Nedžad Alić, President of the World Blue Chamber from the Alliance for the Conservation of Global Waters (OACM Group – Ocean Alliance Conservation Member), also welcomed the partnership, noting Minister Pozder’s commitment to raising environmental standards: “I am encouraged by Minister Pozder's openness and her commitment to raising standards, particularly environmental ones, to protect the environment, which is something the Federation of BiH and the entire country of Bosnia and Herzegovina urgently need.”
This collaboration reflects a shared vision to address pressing global challenges in environmental and water protection, and to position Bosnia and Herzegovina as a key player in sustainable development efforts on the international stage.
