Montenegro's top political officials, led by President Milo Đukanović, expressed interest in certifying the coast of Montenegro and obtaining the prestigious White Flag at today's meeting with the OACM leadership.

The OACM delegation was represented by former President of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesić and Kristijan Curavić, who presented to the leadership of Montenegro the project of cleaning the sea of plastic and other waste, as well as the significance of the project for Montenegro's tourism and economy in general.

The project includes the complete sanation of the coastal zone, beaches, ports, marinas, national parks, wild beaches... which includes the extraction of large and small waste, plastic, but also annual maintenance, monitoring, control and additional cleaning as needed, for which certain the destination receives the prestigious White Flag label and the Plastic free feature - a safe sea area.
