Revolutionary Global Tourism Standards
In the last decade, the global tourism standards have been focused mainly on the comfort and luxury of the accommodations, while tour operators have been focused on more economic aspects and providing the general public and the global tourism industry with easier and cheaper access to the popular tourist destinations. The increase in the number of world travelers brought new global environmental threats like the carbon and plastic print left behind in oceans, lakes, and rivers. In the last decade, no concrete actions have been provided by this industry to minimize this threat. The OACM SOTD program has not only ensured measurable results, but it has also set entirely new standards through the cooperation and unification of all segments of the tourism industry.
